Uruguayan academic, a continental reference in critical university extension and integrality. Doctor in Veterinary Medicine and Technology, extension professor at the University of the Republic (Udelar). Former Pro-Rector for Extension (2006–2014) and former president of ULEU (2007–2009). Promoted extension models based on dialogue of knowledge, democratization of knowledge, and sustainable development. Master’s degree in Rural Extension (UFSM, Brazil, 1992); Ph.D. in Environment and Development (UFPR, Brazil, 2002). Received five honorary doctorates (Argentina, 2020–2025) and Emeritus Professor at Udelar (2023).
Académico uruguayo, referente continental en Extensión Universitaria Crítica e Integralidad. Doctor en Medicina y Tecnología Veterinaria, docente de Extensión en la Universidad de la República (Udelar). Ex Pro Rector de Extensión (2006–2014) y ex presidente de ULEU (2007–2009). Impulsó modelos de extensión basados en diálogo de saberes, democratización del conocimiento y desarrollo sustentable. Magíster en Extensión Rural (UFSM, Brasil, 1992); Doctor en Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo (UFPR, Brasil, 2002). Recibió cinco Doctorados Honoris Causa (Argentina, 2020–2025) y Profesor Emérito Udelar (2023).
